My name is Stephen, but you can call me Steve. I'm from Northeast Arkansas, U.S.A., but I am currently living in Mexico City, Mexico. My story about how I ended up here in Mexico started out a while back. Don't ask me how long ago. I'm horrible when it comes to the concept of time.

 

I've always loved languages, or at least since I was about 12 years old. Around that time I took a Spanish class, but I had a bad experience with it, so it turned me off of Spanish for a lot of years. For over half my life, instead of a Jack-of-all-trades, I have been a Jack-of-all-languages, but a master of none. So it was a good while back, I finally made the decision to go back to Spanish and wholly devote myself to it and study no other language. Well, that led me to the path of meeting my now wife who is born and raised in Mexico. Next thing you know, I'm traveling to Mexico to get married. We got married in January of 2020 here in Mexico, and then in August of 2020 I made the decision to move to Mexico.

 

This blog is more of a documentation of my life here, my experiences, my thoughts about life here and back home, thoughts about politics, culture, languages, and food. I would like to eventually start a YouTube channel, but that is for a later time. Right now, I am going to try to commit to writing at least one blog every week. If I can commit to that consistently for a while, then I might jump on the YouTube bandwagon.  So stick around to see what will happen.
